Once you have been accepted into your specific nursing program, you need to create a budget so that you can focus on your studies and not your expenses.
Participation costs by program
BSN-DNP|DNP
The Nursing Program Cost of Nursing (COA) covers the period from the first day of school in mid-August through the following August. Students are not required to pick up the full COA. Many students get by just fine with their flat rate living expenses.
All funds withdrawn in excess of tuition and fees will be made available to students in three disbursements. Students are encouraged to apply for direct deposit. The first payment is made on the first day of the course. The second payment will be made in early January. The last payment will be made at the beginning of May. You should budget accordingly.
Financial support is flexible. If you withdraw the entire COA and later realize you don't need the full amount, you can refund the money within 120 days of withdrawal. The same is true if you don't pick up the full COA and find you need more cash. Students may apply at any time during the year for student aid up to the full COA.
The COA is based on the initial cost of an individual student. If you have dependents for whom you are financially responsible, please contact the Financial Aid Office to discuss additional dependent care options.
The COA cannot be increased by consumer debt, car payments, or a higher standard of living than a typical college student.

program value
One of the biggest financial benefits of our program is the excellent value for money that we offer. Our unique curriculum allows students to complete first-year requirements remotely, with the first year focusing solely on the Doctor of Nursing Practice curriculum. Years 2 and 3 of this program are face-to-face, with a curriculum focused on the anesthesia nurse.

Part of my financial support covers my living expenses. When and how do I get this money?
Funds are disbursed at the beginning of each semester and dates vary by class. After paying tuition and other fees, you will receive a refund of any remaining funds. After receiving your refund, you should consider the following:
- Track your spending for a month to create a spending baseline.
- Divide your expenses by the number of months you need to cover. Spend that exact amount each month, and your balance should last until your next payment.
- Be creative!
- Deposit all your expenses in your savings account and pay yourself monthly.
- Pay all fixed costs for the semester (rent, insurance, car payments, etc.) as soon as you receive your payment.
Can I get credit to cover expenses above the standard budget?
Students may not receive loans or grants that exceed the cost of attendance (COA), which is determined based on an individual student's expected expenses. The COA cannot be increased by consumer debt, car payments, or a higher standard of living than a typical college student. If you don't check out the full COA and find you need more money, you can request the full COA at any time during the grant year. If you choose to withdraw the entire COA and later discover that you do not need the full amount, you may return the funds to your student account within 120 days of the withdrawal date.
How can I qualify for credit forgiveness?
The PSLF program repays your direct loans after you make 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer. Qualifying employment requires you to work full-time in a nonprofit, government, military, or public organization for 10 years. While working in an eligible government position, you must make 120 on-time payments under an eligible payment plan.
